The Joy of Working with Chocolates

Hari ni gigih sungguh aku nak attend kelas "The Joy of Working with Chocolates".  The class is conducted by satu kedai pembekal peralatan dan bahan2 membuat kuih terbaru di Puchong.  At first I was a bit sceptical coz selalunya cokelat2 home made yg aku dah rasa sebelum nie, memang tak berapa sedap....a bit too bland...and luckily I attended this class, baru ku tahu di mana salah silap yg selalu berlaku sewaktu proses membuat cokelat.....dan learn from the mistakes.

Chef Jose "Joy" Pelo dari Beryl's Gourmet sedang mengendalikan kelas.  Nasib baik dia hensem, tak ler aku mengantuk tadi....hehehe


The different ingredients that make chocolate:  From top (clockwise):  Couverture (real chocolate), cocoa butter and cocoa mass.  Fuhh, berpeluh gak nak mengingat dan menghafal components2 nie..


Teknik mencairkan cokelat menggunakan kaedah "double boiler". 


Teknik menyejukkan real chocolate menggunakan kaedah "tampering".

The outcome after going through all the processes, memang marbeles dan sedap.


Yeay, aku dapat satu bag 1.5Kg real chocolate free, coz dpt jawab soklan quiz....

Overall, seronok gak kelas tadik, at least I learn something new.  Looking forward to attend more classes soon, oh ye, ada class cake baking nie....
